Spotlight Dance Academy of Chicago is, “Where Dance Has a Home!” Our classes are designed to help encourage self-excellence, self-discipline, a passion for dance all while cultivating a family-like environment to grow and learn! We believe that dance should be accessible to everyone within a fun, interactive, and educational environment. An environment that visually and audibly stimulates the hearts of each student and promotes personal growth. Our students gain a sense of family / community, knowledge of dance, constructive physical activity, and a love for movement! We stay true to our mission in our lessons, we advocate for progressing with positivity and leading with love. This method translates into our lessons and beyond our classroom walls! Spotlight Dance Academy of Chicago Policies
Tuition
Tuition is expected to be paid prior to each session to reserve your spot. Half or Full Payment at the start of each Semester is accepted. Monthly installments are no longer accepted.
Tuition is non-refundable except in case of serious illness or injury. If serious illness or injury is acquired during our current sessions, a note from a physician is requested for refunds to be effective.
If classes are dropped before the first day of the new session, you will be given a full refund. If a refund is requested past the first three weeks of the new session, we can apply a credit to future classes.
Annual Registration Fee:
There is a yearly fee of $30 per student / family. Our Annual Registration covers all expenses outside of the classroom tuition, such as: student filing, record keeping, billing, and communications for the year.
For all returned checks, there will be a $30 fee.
Discounts:
Sibling & Multiple Class Discount: For every additional class added to your account, there will be a percentage off each additional class. For instance, if you are enrolled in three classes, the first class would be full price the second would be 10% off, the third would be 20% off and the fourth class will be 30% off (so on and so forth).
Absences / Make-up Policy / Cancellations Due To Weather, National State of Emergency or Pandemic Illnesses-
*Attendance on a weekly basis is crucial and extremely important to help our students better themselves and progress accordingly. All missed classes may be made up before the end of the session. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes.
*Cancelled classes due to the Weather, National State of Emergency or Pandemic Illnesses, will be dealt with accordingly. Makeup Classes are always encouraged. You are responsible for scheduling Makeup Classes by contacting our Office (via Phone or Email). No refunds will be granted after our standing “Three-Week Policy” is met at the start of the Semester. We are happy to issue Credits, if applicable, before our “Three-Week Policy.”
Private Lesson Cancellation Fee
If you must cancel your Private Lesson, you must contact our Private Lesson Coordinator, Ms. Lexus at spotlightprivatelesson@gmail.com 24 hours before your scheduled lesson. If you contact us 24 hours in advance of your cancellation there will no penalties. There will be a $20 Cancellation Fee if you notify us less than 24 hours in advance. You will be charged the full Private Lesson Amount if you do not show to your scheduled private lesson and you have not contacted us regarding your absence. Thank you for respecting your studio and instructors time.
